Thanks for the add <3 Haven’t thought about homestuck in a while but apparently it’s pretty common on this site so thats cool i think it's got something to do with being on a myspace clone, honestly-- it definitely puts me in a nostalgic mood, even if homestuck was a slightly later era of nostalgia ;P i'm not complaining Okay yeah that makes a lot of sense lmao, The first profile I saw on this page was homestuck and I was so stocked. I thought I entered another dimension istg back in time to the pre-epilogues era, where liking homestuck was cringe but not cursed <3 i was also shocked to see so many homestucks out here, but i know vent also had a pretty high concentration of hs kinnies when it faux-closed, so i guess we shouldn't be too surprised? I never heard of vent, what’s that? I only joined because my gf is on here and I like to be supportive. OH MAN so basically vent is a social media app that attracts a large number of young adults (and a large community of homestucks) that nearly shut down earlier this week-- everyone thinking that vent was going down led to a mass exodus of users onto other sites (like spacehey)! With a name like Vent I’m kinda scared it got (nearly? i think it's still up) shut down because it was a nightmare to monetize: they sold packs of what were essentially profile colors/themes and people would buy them for about two bucks, which was... not enough to really keep the app up and running. the management was super erratic and communicated very poorly with the userbase, and the backend code was also a dumpsterfire. It Really Could Have Been Anything. Ah, nah, having to buy profile colors is absolutely crazy. No wonder it failed tbh.. Spacehey just seems better from what you're telling me.. Or just this one? i think a bunch of people either migrated back to tumblr or onto another app called sharespace? there was definitely a mass exodus to all of the ex-twitter user locales as well (think mastodon), but i'm not sure where else everyone wound up? Okay yeah that makes sense… Tumblr is scary. Used to post homestuck sprite edits on there oh man, those are all extremely good picks! i actually met my boyfriend on cherp looking for homestuck RPs, so the community out there has a special place in my heart-- i've definitely met some lifelong friends through homestuck rp in a way i haven't found rping in other fandoms. i dunno what makes HS special, but it really is. |

ur just like me fr i cant believe im not the only birdemic propaganda spreader in the year of our lord. also hi i just refurbished my ds lite AND 2ds like 2 weeks ago one of my friends introduced me to birdemic back in high school with a Rocky Horror-style commentary and i've been abnormal about it ever since <3 i force all of my friends to rewatch it with me on my birthday, so they invented a drinking game for it (titled Birdemic: The Fuckening) and invented bespoke cocktails to play it with (The Beautiful Fashion Model for part 1 and The Eagles Killed Becky for part 2). i still haven't seen the sequels and i'm eyeing them warily. I Am So Sorry That This Is Your First Impression Of Me. ive never heard something that could possibly give someone a better first impression to me actually so stay goated. i dont have a tradition for birdemic or anything i just decide i want to rewatch it every now and then and force evrybody i know to see it with me. its long since been a rite of passage for knowinf me LOL Huge Mood. if you can't take me at my birdemic, you don't deserve me at my everything everywhere all at once. HELP ME GOD HES SO FUNNY OKAY THAT'S REALLY SWEET THOUGH i always feel so terrible about resetting pokemon saves when i get used cartridges so i feel you on the legacy impulse. my bf always trades all of the nicknamed pokemon into a storage box in a different game before he resets a save and i have mad respect for that. |
