General

i like running, exploring the outdoors, envirosci, cycling, skateboarding, playing my bass(still learning...), vegetarian food, old web and old subcultures, getting piercings, dyeing my hair bright colours, drawing, reading, nintendo wii and ds, and tamagotchi!

i especially love the arts though i wouldn't consider myself an expert by any means. i can often be found with my head stuck in a book (my ebook rarely leaves my person), or going to see the symphony orchestra, ballet, a comedy show, the opera, a concert, to the theatre, the museum, or a gallery.

i love love love seeing live music of all kinds (i have the tinnitus to show for it. wear earplugs guys!!). i love a good moshpit! if i don't leave a show covered in beer and sweat, did i really have the best experience?

Music

cool enough to make people ask me what i'm listening to lately but daggy enough to have taste in common with your dad. i didn't realise how extensive this list would get!

lots of new wave, i love the creative and cutting edge aesthetic of it and punk messaging ♥ devo, talking heads, oingo boingo, blondie, pulp, elvis costello, tears for fears, and any other music i find!

punk and metal, especially from the australian scene (because it means more shows for me). haven't been as into it lately because the messaging is often too bleak hahaha ♥ polaris, northlane, ocean grove, thornhill, babymetal, misfits, dead kennedys, ratm, buzzcocks, iron maiden, gojira, poppy, pup, (can't think of any more... i usually only engage w the genre when bands come to town now. do love it though)

the remnants of my tumblr emo origins ♥ fall out boy, my chemical romance, panic! at the disco (but only the first two albums ofc), blink 182, green day. i do still have a soft spot for twenty one pilots.

i love so many australian acts, especially from the 90s/early 2000s! some of my earliest memories of watching tv are having rage put on. ♥ regurgitator, TISM, dragon (lol i didn't say they were all cool. daggy music is fun too), the living end, grinspoon, custard, hoodoo gurus, icehouse, spiderbait, split enz, gerling, the whitlams, men at work, painters and dockers, skyhooks, cousin tony's brand new firebird, alex cameron, kirin j callinan, my huge collection of hottest 100 cds from the 90s-early 2000s

there is so much other music i love. i've usually got the classical music radio station on, but (in no particular order whatsoever) there are other bands and artists that are near and dear 2 me ♥ weezer, 100 gecs(lol), ok go, bjork, carly rae jepsen, ABBA (any eurovision really), supergrass, the police, gorillaz, chai, they might be giants, rick astley (unironically.), mgmt, lemon demon, electric light orchestra, marc rebillet, MIKA, fatboy slim, basement jaxx, daft punk etc etc etc etc etc..!!!!!!!!

Movies

not enough but i like smiling. i like movies that make me smile and get my brain whirring. i will sing along to almost all of rocky horror with careless abandon

Television

i don't watch a lot of tv but the simpsons has always been special to me since i was a kid. please like me is my favourite show. i watch eurovision religiously. it is like the olympics to me. 🇭🇷🇦🇺

Books

I read so many books and yet I've never been able to decide on my favourite since I was a child (my favourite back then was Artemis Fowl, lol). This year I'm averaging about a book every 2 months... which doesn't feel good considering I'm typically able to get through a novel in less than a week. My favourite of all time is 1984 by George Orwell (it's a classic, I know). Something about it gripped me and tickled my brain until the very end when I read it in high school, and that feeling hasn't been matched for me since.
