The Lathe of Heaven, original 1980 PBS film, is my favourite, very true to the Ursula K. LeGuin novel about a man who's dreams come true, literally, which becomes problematic. Head, the Monkees surrealist psychedelic masterpiece is my 2nd favourite film. 2001, Moon, Spirited Away is the best animated film ever. |

at the moment, my sister the nurse, who's part of a global network of scientists and physicians advising the W.H.O., and trying to advise the stupid CDC about the ongoing pandemic. it's not over, it won't be over before we stop pretending it's over. wear your mask. a mild case can bite you in the ass hard, later, you don't want long covid. I lost 5 people to this thing, so far. |

oh noes. the kids have figured out how to have music autoplay on their pages. - _ - and it's loud. and you can't make it stop. I'm ok with them being able to do that, but we need the option to block that feature from working, like autoplay video or gifs on some sites. and I'm hoping the novelty of having blinky gif backgrounds wears off soon. I don't expect most of my friends, who tend to be over 30, mostly, these days, to employ such decor. fingers crossed any of them show up here. it's like socialism, it'll only really work if we all do it. we can leave el Zucco behind. |

I had high hopes but failboat is the beast that will not die. it's like we're all addicts over there, everyone afraid to try something else. the lack of photo albums here is the big impediment, until they fix that I don't see this being "the One" :/
