Hi Dysphoria. I have. Patty Gurdy is awesome. Didn't know her until I saw the video she joined in on the latest Ayreon album Transitus. Then looked up some of her own material and liked it :).
And yes, Nightwish is awesome too. Was supposed to see them live this November but it has been postponed to next year.

Yesss Patty Gurdy is amazing, I love her hurdy gurdy version of Storm Seeker's "The Longing"
Sadly I never got to see Nightwish live, they never tour near Wisconsin (in the US). I want to see them live though. Have you heard of Avatar?

Ah yes, 'The Longing' is definitely nice :).
Aww too bad. I know they have done US tours but since US is so big you gotta be lucky to have them perform in a nearby venue. Who knows in the future :).
I've seen Nightwish at least 2 times. At Wacken and in Ziggodome Amsterdam.
I've heard the name Avatar before but don't think I've ever listened to their music. What song would you recommend? :P
I like quite a few bands. Favourite music style is progressive rock/metal so bands like Ayreon, Spock's Beard, Dream Theater etc..
Also like bands like Sabaton, Alestorm, Epica, Equilibrium, Heidevolk and many more... guess I just love good music.

I would recommend Tower, When the Snow Lies Red, Going Hunting, So Sang the Hollow, Hail the Apocalypse, Gun, Silence in the Age of Apes, Colossus...the list goes on haha they're my favorite band
