General	Improve my ability to write drama, meet new and interesting people, overthrow global capitalism (I've been trying to do that for 50 years, not sure how well it's going!). If the last comment seems somewhat facetious, I should explain that my background is in welfare rights advocacy which has generally made things less bad for individual people. When I was doing that work for individuals I tried to feed the knowledge that it gave me into influencing social policy. When the neo –liberal economy took over, the social policy work didn’t make a difference any more. That has enhanced my tendency to look for fundamental change.

About me:

I am gentle, intelligent, strong, handsome, and modest. I got thrown out of Mensa for making them feel inadequate. I am also creative and good at making things up! Maybe I'd better try this seriously (I was, of course, joking): I have a number of good friends who see me as honest, serious with a dry sense of humour; also friendly, reliable, trustworthy, and able to listen and respond to people. I am happily retired, more busy than ever, and reasonably solvent. Note: although I’m a dissident in many respects, I do conform to covid regulations and, therefore, choose to meet people outdoors until such time as we decide to form a social support bubble or until the situation changes. This is, as I see it, the socially responsible thing to do.
