endeavour/arch are pretty nice, used arch on my laptop for awhile
for me uh NixOS on everything rn (desktop and laptop) it's reproducible it's reliable it has backups out of the box the learning curve is a little steep but it's so cool in so many ways

I should really check out nix sometime, that backup feature sounds super nice (I rm -rf'ed my home dir once...)

it's so awesome. I like soft-locked myself out of my pc (set dwm to my only desktop entry and it wouldn't launch) and tty wasn't working but the backup saved me
