You’re the first to mention my profile song! I’m glad it works and plays correctly. Creux Lies is a small, newer band I’ve been following. They give that dark synth pop vibe like Depeche Mode and the like. I heard snippets of new material during an instagram live and it all sounded very danceable like Depeche. They’re supposed to go on tour soon, which I’m super excited about.

Writing is a hobby for me, not something I have to do; it's just that I feel like I'm not enjoying it as much as I used to. My current project is a continuing story, and for a long time I'd have new episodes weekly, and I'd take a month or so off every six months in the fictional timeline. My last episode posted on Christmas morning, so my planned month off has lasted almost three months. I'm busier than usual this year, and life feels more unsettled; it got to the point where writing felt like a chore. I did write one story not part of the continuing story but set in the same universe in the present time, and I started the next episode; I was hoping to finish it this week and post it at my usual time (which is Sunday mornings). That might still get worked on tonight; I have a couple hours of awake time left.

A lot of bands were doing livestreams like that during the pandemic. I'm glad live music is a thing that can happen again, but I'm also glad that these livestreams still happen occasionally, because some of the bands I follow don't come out this way often.

What exactly are you going to do with the painted vinyl records? I'm curious now.

Oh I see. Writing should be fun, yeah. Or cathartic. My poetry was getting me too emotional to function and I had to stop for like over a year. I’m just now revisiting old unfinished work. It’s still a bit painful but a lot more manageable now.

The vinyl I just painted is just a circular rainbow. I need to figure out if I can safely affix it to a wall for display. If I like the way they turn out and if the paint actually stays on, I would like to try selling them. Time will tell.

That sounds nice.. let me know how the painted record turns out. This writing project has at times been cathartic; it's been interesting to revisit my younger self and reflect on how I've changed and how the world has changed and stuff.

My page is pretty minimalist, I'm not the one to ask about how to post pictures... I think it involves uploading the pictures to a site where you can directly get a url for the picture, then using the img code in html, but I'm not sure what site people are using for that these days.

In case you just look at the most recent posts, I should point out that the two most recent posts on there are other writing also by me, not episodes of DLTDGB. One is a poem I dug up from 2008, and the other is a story I wrote last month set in the same fictional universe as DLTDGB but in the present day (although I was never clear about whether the main character is the same character from DLTDGB, now a middle-aged adult in the 2020s, or some other guy who is the same age who also loves listening to music and overthinks everything, particularly when a cute girl is involved).
