Oh, I didn't draw or create any of the parts of it. I just found a bunch of parts that fit what my fursona looks like, and put them together. And to be fair, Rekkz found some of them for me. She's way better at it than I am. :3

But I really appreciate it!! OωO I do love how it looks. It looks more like my sona than I imagined any video game could. Though I guess SL isn't exactly a game? I dunno.

Tbh, I've been adding almost everyone who looks remotely interesting and is 18+. I figured I'd find at least a handful of decent people who're fun to talk to if I did that. And turns out I was right! There are some really awesome people on here!

You must be a good programmer and designer, your page is sick! I'm an artist by trade. Mostly I make famous works that others take credit for. I'm hoping to start gigging my own work soon.

I enjoy website development more than programming, but programming pays better. I took web dev classes in college, but I haven't used most of that since then. My layout was designed by Bela. I've tweaked it, added some things, etc. but she should really get credit for it, in the end.

When I did web dev work (in school, and for people/companies who asked), I did a lot of creative design type things. But at my current job, all of my creative design, if you want to call it that, goes toward making things work better for the people who use our systems. So while there is a lot of creative/critical thinking to figure out how to resolve issues, it's not quite the same as having something visual to show for it.

You make famous things that other people take credit for? That honestly doesn't sound great. Why/how does that happen? And can you do anything about it?

My brother is a programmer, who used to do web design before changing up into more technical company work. I get that it doesn't have a greatly visual sense of what to show for it necessarily. Often times him showing me his work is kind of detracted by the nitty grittiness of it. Still I find programming fun, though I've not done any really since high school. Mostly I'm more of a designer than a coder, or at least that's the way I've approached those things.

You know it's complicated, a lot of things get packed on top of each other when you're trying to find your feet as an artist and honestly the industry it seems are as capitalist and exploitative as they can be. Things can get lost and blindsided from you. It's pretty shit though if I'm being real. What's more challenging for me is the cultural embeddedness and the refraction between creating an identity in that kind of environment, versus what identity people think I am or should have. I'm still trying to work it out. I have high hopes for my upcoming projects, but there is a lot of personal imposter syndrome and feelings of undeservedness or inadequacy. You could say the expectation is higher than I feel like I can or want, to achieve. Best mantra I think is to be true to your self and persevere.
