Built For Burning

About me:

Built For Burning (formerly Phineas) is a hardworking four piece Pop-Punk/Rock Band from Taylor, MI. The band is Mike Trondson (Vocals/Guitar), Charlie Thomas (Vocals/Bass), Kyle Hamann (Guitar), and Jimmy Hanczurak (Drums). From their first show in November of 2004, they have caught attention from anyone who has seen their live show. Drawing influences from many bands, Built For Burning uses a vocal range that is anywhere from soft to screaming with lyrics about Life, Love, Loss and Friendship. Add that to a combination of catchy guitars and upbeat drumming and you've got their formula for songwriting.

Built for burning has played scores of shows through out Michigan and the midwest and has shared those stages with Spitalfield (Victory Records), Punchline (Fueled By Ramen), June (Victory Records), Madina Lake (Roadrunner Records) and House Of Fools (Drive-Thru Records). They we're also seen rocking the Detroit stage at The Vans Warped Tour 2005.

2006 soon became a very busy year for Built For Burning as they set out on their first tour with fellow Michigan band Daniel and Maryland's Underscore. In February they entered Nada Recording Studios with John Naclerio (Senses Fail, Brand New and My Chemical Romance) to record, mix and produce the "From The Ground Up" EP. The spring and summer found them playing shows all over the Midwest as they set out for more tour dates. Their Debut EP saw a Mid-November Release and a handful of shows across South-Eastern Michigan in support of it.

2007 will see them touring and playing more shows through out as many regions of the United States as they can.
