m0sdet6's Interests

General

I paste paper on top of paper or cardboard and make them look good. I also like to sew papers to make little books and write on them. (I recommend trying this at least once)

F3-FB3490-6994-44-A1-AFEA-2200-D366803-F

Everything in life is a to-do list. It never ends.

My favorite games are Yume 2kki, Space Funeral, and that funny sunfish game.

Music

Not really fixed, just a bunch of songs I like so this one is based on recent listening history. But there are exceptions.

- Shiro Sagisu (particularly the Evangelion OST)

- Jussi Halme (who made the music for that one weird-ass CGI sitcom intro)

- Gospel Power (that one from Finland)

Movies

- End of Evangelion

- Battle Angel Alita

- the Underworld franchise (apart from Blood Wars)

- the New Kids movies (both Turbo and Nitro)

- any Andrew E. movie (not the recent ones)

Television

‎‎

Books

- Codex Seraphinianus

- Ghostopolis

- Empire Star

- Disappearing Act

- First Book of Lost Swords

Heroes

- My high school English teacher because he's funny as hell

- Lasse Heikkilä (of Gospel Power)

- Jinxtengu (creator of Revenge of the Sunfish)

m0sdet6's Blurbs

About me:

I do simple normal people things. Like having hobbies and studying. That may be all.

Sometimes I like to type in a lot of vague ways. It could be that video you forgot, but you swore you've seen it 7 years ago? 5 months ago?

I may not know who I am, but to some of you Earthlings, I might be a nutjob. Pardon my language, but did I mention to you that I am a girl? No?

I like groceries too if it helps.

Who I'd like to meet:

Cool people. ‎Particularly those who have at least something in their profile.

Or better yet some unfortunate soul who looks at my stuff and say "Dude what planet are you from?"  or "Why do you type like you use Japanese to English on Google Translate?" or "What is this melody fondling my ears?" and other funny questions. I am open to some inquiries and whatever you have may not be one of them. Unless I agree.

Thank you.

Thanks for the add! I really like the music on your profile, guau!

Sew papers together to make a little book.... brilliant, honestly! I had been interested in book binding lately, but was not appealed with how much of it may require exact measurements in the case of hardcovers... I also am not a fan of how glue is typically used to bind pages together since glue is much, much less strong than string. This is still something I would like to do if and when I get to finish writing a story of mine that I am strangely into right now; writing by hand is desirable for me, but I still have terribly improper writing form and end up cramping my hand halfway through standard letter paper. Oh well!

I am super pleased to see that you use the blogging system; I have been busier than I thought I would be during this break from college, but if I can get to reading and responding to your entries, I will!

Have you ever read any manga from Shirow Masamune's run of Ghost in the Shell? I am unsure if it would be to your interests, but if the self-contained stories do not interest you, then hopefully the detail put into drawing environments will! I, honestly, do not find most of the stories to be super interesting, but I (for whatever reason) continue to read it anyways... These links will probably give you a small taste: (https://kodansha.us/series/the-ghost-in-the-shell/ ; https://archive.org/details/ghostinshell0000shir_w1b2/page/n3/mode/2up).

An anime I do like is the 1998 Trigun! I sadly still have not thoroughly read (or even got far) into the original Trigun manga... so shameful! The anime is quite short and totals about twenty-five episodes, if I remember correctly.

I have been recommended Hellsing before, but never got around to watching or reading it; the person that recommended it to me was really into that one Schrodinger's cat boy.

I wish you a pleasant rest of the year, peace!

‎1. Speaking of bookbinding, I am very new to this craft, so I don't know much about its terminology and the other fun stuff. Plus the materials I use are very cheap since they are accessible and fit my allowance but I have the liberty to make one single book out of these things as long as the binding holds up.
‎I don't use glue to bind books, but on my first project I did use some school glue to cover the spine (which I sewed LOL). It does work with paper and cardboard though, because I used an illustration board (covered with paper) for the hardcover.
‎The measurements for the hardcovers and signatures can be anything I want, and I just list them down (length and width) on my "cutting mat" which is some big piece of illustration board... same material I used for the hardcovers.

‎2. Yeah I do like blogs, but you should check out my bulletins. And please don't read my past entries from when I was in high school (some of them are "Friends only"!)

‎3. Huh, not yet... But I did see clips of the OVA and the live-action movie. I will give it a shot if I have time.

‎4. I'm not that interested in Trigun, but by the looks of it, the 1998 version looks better than the current one (which is "Stampede" if I remember correctly?). Regardless I liked how Vash used to look unlike the one in "Stampede" :)

‎5. I did discover Hellsing because IDK, vampires are awesome.

‎6. The song is "Promise" by Gospel Power. My favorite, because it's an instrumental. There are 2 other ones I think and one of them ("Liikekannalleppano" from the album "Suojatie") is better than Promise.
‎(It's a long story of how I found this band...)
‎(Also the guy in my PFP is Lasse Heikkilä, an important member of this band. I like his music.)

‎This was a lengthy one but it was interesting, so thank you for reaching out. Still I don't have time to focus on these things because I am very very busy with college stuff. (My chances of enrolling for the next semester may be hanging by a thread. I hope the thread is 3-ply...)

‎But thank you so much and I hope you will have a nice week before Hell returns (next semester)

Oh crap, and my apologies! I will try to keep responses shorter.

> I use are very cheap since they are accessible and fit my allowance but I have the liberty to make one single book out of these things as long as the binding holds up.
Whoof, a relief for me to hear!

> I don't use glue to bind books
Halleluah, lol; I did not mean to slight you or suggest that you are probably doing that in my earlier profile comment by the way, and I only specify this since I realized that it could have been taken that way.

> illustration board
Never heard of these till now, wow!

> than the current one (which is "Stampede" if I remember correctly?)
Yeah. I've yet to watch "Stampede" but I believe that it is supposed to be a prequel; I think it is mostly responsible for Trigun's resurgence in popularity.

> vampires are awesome
Ah, this reminds me that I was recommended a niche manga slash anime thing called "Vampire Hunter D" by a different friend/acquaintance of mine; I am unsure if it'd be up your ally

> Also the guy in my PFP is Lasse Heikkilä, an important member of this band
Guau, the more I know!

> I hope you will have a nice week before Hell returns (next semester)
Mwhahaha, my college is letting me have a break for a few more weeks; I live in the USA, if that helps explain some of those "break time" differences. I dip off from this website when college is in session

I wish you the best of luck this winter! Unless it's summer for you, then I wish you the best of luck this summer

An illustration board is like cardboard, but it's not corrugated on the inside and it's lightweight. It has a white side for drawing, and a black side for writing with chalk.
It has many uses, most students here use it as canvases, for poster making, scrapbooking, costume making, etc.

This was made with strong appreciation for this material. I mean, I really like the illustration board, it's perfect. (^^)

Also, I am not American, so we don't have winter or summer. But the climate here is very warm, though it rains occasionally. And when it rains it's like 2012 all over again.
