General |
ok where do i actually begin. i listen to a lot of music as you can probably tell from most of the blinkies on my about section being music-related but i do like other things, i promise!!! i like crocheting and collecting yarn that i have yet to use but i am trying to do projects so i can use it all up. i also like to draw both digitally and not digitally so basically i'm a bit of an art nerd is what i'm saying!! miscellaneous interests include itemlabel items, collecting stickers, cooking, watching various films and tv shows and going on wikipedia rabbit holes every so often |

Music |
most of the music i listen to is from the 80s and it's at the point where i'm planning to do my dissertation about the Austrian pop sensation Falco who's best known for his song Rock Me Amadeus from the album Falco 3, but he's done other songs such as Der Kommissar and Ganz Wien which are both pretty much entirely in German (+ his Vienna dialect no less!!), but are brilliant nonetheless!! outside of that i'm really loving Wham! at the moment on account of the new documentary about them on netflix which is very good and revealed i'd listened to most of Fantastic already without realising because they pop up on my spotify pretty often!! more Current Artists i like are Joywave and the Icelandic powerhouse that is Björk who i saw live last year :D also i like nik kershaw and i know far too much about him against my will but his music is unironically pretty good |

Movies |
withnail & i, parasite, eeaao, interstellar and the royal tenenbaums are some solid faves of mine but there are many more films that i adore!! also my verdict on barbenheimer is that i preferred oppenheimer but it really didn't have to have him say i am become death, destroyer of worlds when he [REDACTED] because i really wanted to laugh even though christopher nolan really wanted us to take the scene seriously. barbie was really fun and campy but i wasn't super sure about the ending, plus the kens deserved more rights!! |

currently watching: i'm going to start watching heartstopper part 2 and share what i think as and when faves are probably: our flag means death, better call saul and this is going to hurt (as far as series go) but my all time fave is probably come dine with me LOL |

welcome to my spacehey page! the name's el and i am greater manchester's very own ambassador to Austria (in that i've just spent about 9 months there) and hence i'm pretty good at German :D i mean it's not like im getting a degree in it or anything...
jokes aside i'm really enjoying learning the language and if nothing else, it's meant i'm now in on the Nett hier. Aber waren Sie schon mal im Baden-Württemberg? gag and tbh that's the best bit of learning a language really. speaking of which, it's cool that this very website is a product of Baden-Württemberg itself!
i can also speak spanish and a tiny bit of french but it's been a while since i've practiced either of them. i'm also learning japanese on duolingo :3
