General

Hobbies

My hobbies are:

  • Books
  • Researching
  • Technology/Programming
  • Youtube/Movies
  • Listening to music

I like watching videos or reading articles about my favorite topics.

Interests

My favorite subjects are: Particle physics and Astrophysics, or mathematical theories.

I like technology, I have experimented with hardware stuff like Arduinos and software stuff, and I feel like I tend to like software more.

I use C++ or Python on Jupyter(for graphs, some of my graphs are on my blogs) and just recently started playing around with p5.js to make art.

Or plushies collecting.

Videogames

Favorite videogames:

  • Minecraft
  • SFS game
  • Kerbal
  • Emerald (pokemon)

Music

Genres: Electronic/Ambient music.

My taste in music is fairly plain, in general, I mostly listen to C418, Aphex Twin, or Brian Eno. I have linked Last.fm below. And I listen to the same tracks most of the time.

Movies

Favorite Standalones: Primer, Tron, 2001/2010(the 2010 was surprising good!), Martian and October sky.

Favorite Documentaries: The Farthest, The Year of Pluto(free on the NASA website), Hubble(2006), Particle Fever, Cosmos (-Carl Sagan one), and Mission Juno.

Favorite Franchises: Star Wars(favorite: original trilogy), Star Trek(favorite: voyager + most of the movies), Battlestar Galactica(favorite: 1978 movie), and Orville.

Television

Books

Genre: Sci-fi and informative books

I'm currently reading First Shift by Hugh Howey, about 50% in.

The next books I'll read:

'Leviathan Wakes' by James S.A. (The Expanse trilogy)

'Digital Retro: The evolution and Design of the Personal Computer' by Gordon Laing

This is a difficult question to answer, as I have read many books that are my favorites. Here are some: The Fabric of the Cosmos by Brian(my favorite author), Rocket Boys, The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo(I remember reading this until 5 am, it's that thrilling), Martian by Andy(childhood favorite, both the classroom edition and the original), What if? by Randall(I'm a XKCD fan), visual DK series(e.g. The elements book and simply series, and I don't mean Donkey Kong... but Donkey Kong is cool tho), Project Hail Mary by Andy, All Systems Red by Martha, The left Hand of Darkness by Cycle, Contact by Sagan, How the Universe got its spots by Levin and The end of everything by Mack.

Heroes

An honorable mention to my cat.

About me:

Hello, I'm a 16 y/o female who writes articles about topics that I find interesting. I normally read, watch youtube, research, or simply listen to music during my freetime. I like cats as well, having a Scottish fold around!

I write many things here. I treat it like a journal. :)

Credits to the structure created by p0libius (https://layouts.spacehey.com/layout?id=1430) + slight changes by me. My apologies, I forgot to credit the structure ;(

Currently:

I post my articles on Medium now instead of Spaceyhey, this time using books instead of articles as reference. I'm working on my Neocities website. It takes time to build the design. The design is based on a retro look, but a sleek modern look, and soft sci-fi and hard sci-fi mixed in. The majority of my time nowadays is spent in bed reading, programming(my computer desk is in front of my bed), or in school. I'm taking a break from article writing for a while since I have a research competition and a STEM workshop coming up.

I realized how much I love space magazines. I bought "Understanding the Solar System" at the airport, and I had a blast reading it on the airplane (except for the stomach bloating...).

Recently I fell in love with memoirs(my new favorite genre), and now in my freetime I started writing memoir short pieces.

Mini Article Series: Day 2 50%

My apologies, I had burnout from school, however, I'm almost done! The word count is 238 words, 1,360 characters. It's over the minimum limit and very close to the maximum limit, but I might need to raise the limit overall. I will work on it later day, sorry I need to focus my attention on a research competition in less than a month.
Practice with mathematical graphs: Schrödinger Graphs in 3D 27%

The resources I'm using are "Visualizing Quantum Mechanics with Python" by Steve Spicklemire and YouTube.
Schrodinger cat article 70%

I had delayed continuing this many times. The article currently has 939 words/5,712 characters. I have written about the introduction, the 4 core principles of quantum mechanics, properties of a wave, how to see polarization in the quantum world, and an explanation of the quantum eraser. And the last three I need to write are Copenhagen interpretation vs Multiverse theory, finally Schrodinger's cat( was supposed to be the article, but I added all the others since they're connected, and the conclusion. I've been delaying ever since. I wanted it to be perfect, which just made me scared.

Dislikes:

I don't dislike many things. One thing I do dislike is writing with my hand. I feel like year by year, my handwriting gets worse, no matter if I learned cursive or practice more. My hand gets sore fast. Lastly, I don't like pencil grips, they feel unnatural and make it worse.

Extra info, touching jam change

I changed it to milk instead of jam, because now I can't eat jam anymore. It makes me nauseous. And sliced bread also makes me nauseous now. It's how easy the mold can be seen on sliced bread. I never recalled seeing moldy bread (only mold recently), but nevertheless, I'm scared of mold.
