General

  • Old Technology

I love tinkering with old technology. Especially the era of devices that are "HD enough" and can work fully offline. These tools remind us that not everything has to be connected to the ever-growing-baby-crushing-GDP-machine. They also became of use at this point. A music player with a replaceable SD card is probably a reliable device.

  • Making Tools Easier to Use

You got an old digital camera with a dead battery? It's probably replaceable. Maybe even the charging port could be replaced with a USB-C port. Now that's a convenient device!

  • Board Games

Okay, this may sound super nerd... but I LOVE board games. They are really fun and enable true bonding with people. Many people act more genuine and build relationship when playing various games.

also,,, having fun with people while having no screens around is REFRESHING!

Music

Movies

Perfect Days (2023)

Wim Wenders was cooking again with this movie.

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)

Directed by the legend Stanley Kubrick himself, this movie questions the cold-war era thought cycles. Some "cinephile" circles hate this movie and they are LAME for it

The Miracle (2015)

Absolute cryfest set in the 1960s Turkish countryside.

No (2012)

Long movie yapping about how joybaiting works better than ragebaiting. (jk its acc a super good movie check it out)

The Wind Rises (2012)

Pure art. Both visuals and writing.

Television

Breaking Bad!!!

This show was a masterpiece! I loved every single second and rewatched it countless times. Loved Better Call Saul as well.

Avatar: The Last Air Bender

Loved watching it as a child but the story was alien since I never watched it chronologically. Watching as an adult was mesmerizing to say the least. Almost all characters have depth, the jokes are immaculate, the fictional society has cool dynamics, and honestly the bending scenes go hard.

Books

Les Misérables - Victor Hugo

No words can describe how good this book was. It will definitely change your world view.
