General	Crafting speficially Knitting, crochet sometimes I do some things with seed beds. Sitting on a warm beach, swimming in the summer. Admiring the snow from my warm house during the winter. Going to as many concerts as I could reasonably (and unreasonably) afford- Mostly smaller shows within a couple of hours of NYC.
Music	Rock/Alternative, Ska especially (two tone, 3rd wave, 4th wave), anything Andrew McMahon catalog. DRIVE THRU RECORDS/Early Warped Tour bands. I get much of my music these days from Darkside Records in Poughkeepsie NY. They have two websites (darksiderecords.com for new and used.darksiderecords.com for used) and they ship anywhere! They also have an app and you can buy music digitally. Rad people running and I love the store.
Movies	Comedies, dramas, (Mostly) Anything Muppets (pre-Disney). Not really into Regency period/Victorian set films. Ghibli. Many Disney films (not super into the house of mouse), Don Bluth animated works.
Television	Netflix stuff, RuPaul's Drag Race. HGTV. The Daily Show. Wilmore/The Nightly Show. Brooklyn 99. Standup Specials. Avatar the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra were Amazing! Watching Schitt's Creek now. Was really in Glee when it was on until Cory Montieth died (the show totally changed after that and couldn't recover from the loss)
Books	I could be very out of date and put the books I read in high school but I'm just going to admit that the last book I "read/audiobooked" was Born a Crime by Trevor Noah which I haven't even finished.
Heroes	I try not to worship/inspriation porn anyone because I learned (in a very hard way) that we all have flaws...nobody is a god. Though Stacey Abrams and RGB hold special place in my ♥. Oh, and Robin Williams.

About me:

Hi everyone! I'm SusieQ84, They/Them, please. Happy to be in a new/old space like this. Back when MySpace was big I just enjoyed my little corner/chair of the interwubs. I'm @susiehb1984 on IG. I do fiber crafting in my spare time and go to shows, mostly rock/alternative. I live in the Mid Hudson Valley of in New York, close enough for a train ride into NYC. I graduated from college in 2007 with a BachSci degree but I don't really use it anymore, just the general critical thinking and information literacy bits, but it was still a fun time. I miss being able to see my friends and hug them, of course because of covid. But all of the indoor time has allowed me to get a lot of projects done and that I can appreciate. I also started buying some vinyl, there is a really cool record store where I live and they get all sorts of cool stuff- trying to seek music I don't already have or have access to digitally.
