General

I believe in showing up for people, minding my own plate, and leaving the world a little more decent than I found it. I love fresh mountain air, good coffee, and conversations that actually mean something. I am practical, stubborn in the best way, and allergic to cruelty masquerading as humor. If you are kind, curious, and can laugh without punching down, we will probably get along just fine.

Music

Alternative and rock live at the center of my playlist, especially anything that feels honest, a little gritty, and built for long drives or early mornings. I like music that sounds like it has something to say, even when it is saying it quietly. Background noise is not the goal, feeling something is.

Movies

I like movies that trust the audience, strong writing, real stakes, and stories that linger after the credits. Thoughtful sci-fi, grounded dramas, and the occasional perfectly written comedy all make the cut. Cheap shock value and lazy satire do not.

Television

Smart shows with sharp dialogue and characters who feel like real people keep me watching. Animation can be brilliant when it is clever and self aware, and long running shows earn points if they age with their audience. If a show mistakes cruelty for wit, I am out.

Books

I gravitate toward books that explain how the world works or how it should work better. History, politics, and essays sit next to fiction that explores humanity without trying to impress itself. Clear thinking and strong ideas matter more to me than flashy prose.

Heroes

My heroes are people who protect others when it is inconvenient, who tell the truth even when it costs them something, and who quietly do the work without needing applause. Caregivers, organizers, teachers, and anyone who chooses compassion over power have my respect.
