Blues, R&B, classic rock, garage rock, punk, protopunk, postpunk, indie, really a little bit of almost everything except contemporary country music (no offense intended, just not my personal thing). I’m pretty open minded and interested in new genres and bands I haven’t heard before.

Movies

So many. Love 1930s-60s especially screwball comedies of that era like “Bringing Up Baby”, “It Happened One Night”, “Dinner at Eight” etc. and also film noir. Re: modern film, I enjoy lots of different things except not into most action, anime, superhero stuff or sci-fi. I do make an exception for Batman. I grew up loving “Batman Returns” era Batman. I love foreign films from all time periods.

Television

✨ MAD MEN ✨, The Queen’s Gambit, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, 30 Rock, Arrested Development, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Parks and Rec, Archer, Bob’s Burgers, Broad City, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Outlander, The Sopranos, Downton Abbey,, Ab Fab, a lot of stand up comedy - Eddie Izzard, Margaret Cho, John Mulaney are some faves. Documentaries, especially about history, but I find infinite subjects fascinating.

Books

Voracious reader. Hard to pick favorites, but love historical fiction, biographies, nonfiction. I’ve been reading since I was two and can easily finish several hefty novels in a day if I’m not doing anything else. I always have multiple books I’m reading at any given time. Usually at minimum, one light, fun novel, one serious novel, one fascinating nonfiction book, and one slightly dry/dense nonfiction because I have terrible insomnia and sometimes this helps. It can’t be too enthralling or I won’t want to put it down to sleep. 😆
