General

I grew up as a jock with a brain. I played sports and collected stamps. At 50, I became a gaming nerd.

Music

I love a wide variety of music from pre 2000, but I am sick to death of it. I just can't seem to connect with most modern genres. I don't feel it. Music should make me cry, smile on the inside or want to dance, but everything modern seems like just noise to me. I grew up listening to UK punk and ska music from the late 70s, evolved into new wave, didn't mind grunge and punk pop in the 90s, developed an appreciation for the blues and some opera with life experiences.

Movies

The two greatest films ever made are 'The Breakfast Club' & 'Tombstone'. They cannot be separated. TBC relates to my youth and Tombstone was middle age me, trying to be as cool as possible, like Doc Holliday. Haven't seen my geriatric movie yet.

Television

My favourite TV shows at the moment are 'Youtube' and 'Twitch'. If you are watching my TV, that is what you will see.

Books

I used to be an avid reader of mostly fiction. After the divorce, I began exploring psychology and then philosophy. These days I read the internet. Who cares about books when you can be playing video games? I hope my son doesn't read this.

Heroes

I'd hate to label a person I don't know as a "hero". My heroes are some folk I've met in my life. My gut feeling is you don't know them so their names would be meaningless apart from one... Mum.
