Everything We're Not's Blurbs
About me:
Starting in a basement in late 2017, Everything We’re Not burst onto the scene in 2018 with their first EP “Give Up”. Formed by brothers Jonathan (Guitar and Vocals) and Joseph Newton (Drums) rounded out by Jasun Hayhurst (Guitar) and Alex Eldred, the group has made strides in the local emo scene. From playing weekend shows in the Chicagoland area, to small garage gatherings and music festivals in rural Indiana, the band has found the stride and established themselves as an act to keep an eye on. “A Bit Too Much”, the debut album from the band released in July of 2021, mixes fun energetic rhythms, with themes of frustration and loss. It’s tone feels happy on the surface, but digging deeper you’ll find there’s more to it. You can really feel the growth from this album compared to the bands previous releases.
