mostly qawwalis, ghazals, and old indian music. i listen to a lot of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Abida Parveen, Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, Jagjit Singh, Farida Khanum, Iqbal Bano, Sabri Brothers, Kishore Kumar, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Begum Akhtar, Talat Mahmood, Mohammed Rafi, Talat Aziz, Mukesh, Hemant Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Geeta Dutt, and Manna Dey.

Movies

i watch a bit of everything, but i usually end up gravitating towards psychological dramas, slow-burn films, old hindi cinema, and anything that'll leave me thinking about it for days. some favourites are The Godfather, Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Green Mile, Anand, Guide, Pyaasa, Kaagaz Ke Phool, and Masoom. i know its random but it is what it is

Books

i mostly read classic literature, philosophy, and poetry. i have a soft spot for books that are a little melancholic, some of my favourites are The Brothers Karamazov, Crime and Punishment, White Nights, Notes from Underground, The Idiot, The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Stranger, No Longer Human, The Trial, The Metamorphosis, Gunahon ka Devta, Andha Yug, Kali Shalwar, Nirmala, Gaudan etc My favorite authors are Dostoyevsky, Kafka, Camus, Tolstoy, Dharamveer Bharati, Munshi Premchand and Saadat Hassan Manto i also read a lot of poetry and urdu literature. ghalib, faiz ahmed faiz, allama iqbal, ahmed faraz, sahir ludhianvi, mir taqi mir, and parveen shakir are always worth coming back to.
