music that sounds like desire that's too exhausted to perform confidence. Sliding into notes instead of landing cleanly on them, letting consonants blur together, using a breathy, slightly constricted voice. intimate music with a wince of yearning, that you passionately lip sync with a stank face and a bit of delirious glazed over eyes. the meaning of words discarded but the physical texture of a voice itself remaining. The little catches, breaths, strains, and imperfections become emotional information. Pulsing synths, dark basslines, spacious reverb, sexy rhythm, melodies that feel simultaneously euphoric and exhausted. Wanting something intensely while suspecting it won't save you. intimacy and distance, warmth and numbness, desire and vacancy.
