 Midsommar — bright daylight horror, very disturbing vibe

 The Lodge — isolated cabin + psychological breakdown

 Saint Maud — religious obsession + mental horror 

Smile — creepy curse + constant unsettling tension Underrated / Hidden Gems

 Barbarian — don’t look it up too much before watching

 The Descent — trapped in caves… very claustrophobic

 It Follows — eerie “it’s always behind you” feeling

 The Night House — grief + haunting + twisty story

 Host — Zoom-call found footage (short but intense) If you want something REALLY scary

 Hereditary (still one of the most disturbing modern ones) 

Sinister (the videos alone are nightmare fuel)
