i like things that make me feel something. old movies, weird books, blurry pictures, conversations that go nowhere and somehow mean everything. i romanticize things i probably shouldn't and spend too much time inside my own head.

i like rainy weather, walking around with headphones on, staying up too late, and people who aren't afraid to be a little strange.

indie punk, post-punk, shoegaze, grunge, alternative rock, midwest emo, noise rock, Tarab, britpop, slowcore, riot grrrl, goth, dream pop, new wave, and anything that sounds like being seventeen and not knowing what comes next.

music for staring at the ceiling, missing people you barely knew, and pretending a song understands you better than anyone else.

thirteen, mysterious skin, girl interrupted, the virgin suicides, back to the future, christiane f., the perks of being a wallflower, kids, lilya 4-ever, ghost world, donnie darko, and anything about lonely people trying to figure out how to exist.

i like movies that leave you sitting in silence after the credits. the kind that feel less like watching a story and more like remembering something that never happened to you.
