General

I don’t typically interact with anime, though I respect those who do and am willing to discuss what you like. I am open to possibly being persuaded on a show-by-show basis. It is not likely I will ever interact with celebrity or real person fandom culture.

Music

I listen to a wide variety of music styles, including film soundtracks, classical, musicals, grunge, rock, heavy metal, jazz and soul, and many more. I do not enjoy country or “pop” music as much, but I am willing to listen on a song-by-song basis. Movies

I enjoy films that have unique styles and/or depth. Meaningful character development is important. A detailed or complex plot is paramount, unless it is a comedy or intentionally satirical. Television

Books

I’m not a big fan of modern romance “BookTok” type novels. I prefer fiction over non-fiction, but I read plenty if the topic strikes me as interesting. I also quite enjoy poetry. Heroes

I do not subscribe to the idea of placing individuals upon pedestals. “Never meet your heroes” is true, for idolization only leads to the inevitability of the truth falling short of expectation. That being said, there are many worthy of remembrance as heroes, and many heroic acts which go unrecognized.
