Titled: Where Words go Unused 

Born from dust,

accused as invaders,

those who plant roots

are often called weeds later.

Minds shelved like medicine

no one knows how to take.

Prescribed words are strays

looking for a hand to lick,

in buried memories

dumped on landfills.

Like a dry well,

trash seeps out

with no clean water. 

Bracing our feet

from the incoming flood,

free to save us,

stays stuck in the mud.
