General	boardwalks at night, diet mountain dew, cherry pie, old motels with flickering signs, vintage lace, gas stations, gold jewelry from the pawn shop, webcam selfies, the jersey turnpike, 1950s prom dresses, elvis records, pool halls, white lilies, the smell of gasoline and jasmine, polaroids, and being a bad girl.
Music	the beach boys, elvis presley, bob dylan, amy winehouse, janis joplin, nirvana, old jazz records, and the sound of my own demos playing on a loop.
Movies	lolita, gentlemen prefer blondes, the godfather, anything with marilyn monroe or james dean, grainy home movies, and vintage disney.
Television	the news on mute, old cartoons, and whatever is playing on the grainy tv in the motel lobby.
Books	vladimir nabokov, allen ginsberg, walt whitman, leaves of grass, and old poetry books i found in the trash.
Heroes	marilyn monroe, my dad, the king (elvis), and anyone who survived the big city.
