This is my Monster High collection. As you can see, I don’t have any more space, so I’ll be getting a new shelf and putting it above this one.

Cleo and Deuce – I got them from a friend, Melinda. I originally bought Spectra’s outfit from her on Vinted, and she asked if I was looking for anything else Monster High since she still had a lot from her childhood. I said yes because I had just started collecting, and honestly, it turned out to be such a blessing. She sold me Cleo, Deuce, Abbey, and Spectra. I paid 250 zł for Cleo, Deuce, and Abbey, which comes out to about 83 zł per doll. I did have to swap Deuce’s body, though, because his earring was broken off, his fingers were damaged, and his face paint was already starting to wear off. Melinda is such a kind person—we still keep in touch to this day.

Lagoona Blue – I found her through a seller who listed her in a Facebook group. I reached out and said I was interested, and she actually reserved the doll for me for a whole month, which was really risky since that’s a long time. In the end, I bought her for 160 zł—such a steal! We’re still friends and keep in touch to this day, and we don’t just talk about Monster High anymore.

Nefera de Nile – I bought her on Vinted for 80 zł. She has a broken leg, but that’s not a problem for me.

Abbey – I got her from Melinda, and she also has a broken leg. Cleo de Nile (Picture Day) – I bought her from a girl in a Facebook group for 100 zł.

Meowlody and Purrsephone – I had wanted them since I started collecting, and one day I found them almost complete for 380 zł, so I bought them.

Spectra – I got her from Melinda. When I bought her clothes, it turned out Melinda also had her body but didn’t sell it because it had a broken arm. She ended up giving it to me for free, saying it was in such bad condition that it was basically trash to her. I had already bought a Spectra head on Vinted for 20 zł. It has a small part of the fringe cut off, but it’s not visible since I cover it with the rest of her hair. So in total, I completed her for about 120 zł.

13 Wishes Catty Noir – I had wanted her for such a long time. I found a listing on Vinted for 280 zł, so I bought her, and then got the missing pieces from a girl who 3D prints them. In total, she cost me about 310 zł. I know I could have gotten a better deal, but I’m still really happy, especially because her dress is in perfect condition.

13 Wishes Frankie – I had her as a child, I remember getting her for Christmas and being so happy. Unfortunately, the one I have now isn’t my original doll, but one I bought on Vinted for 50 zł. The only pieces I still had from my childhood doll were her headband and earrings, and interestingly, those were exactly the parts this one was missing. It made me wonder if it could actually be my old doll, especially since the seller said they weren’t the first owner. I’m not sure though—my mom says she never sold my doll when I was little, so it just somehow disappeared.

13 Wishes Gigi – I bought her from a girl in a Facebook group for 80 zł. 13 Wishes Howleen Wolf – I got her on Vinted for 30 zł.

Jinafire Long – I bought her from a girl in a Facebook group for 160 zł. Elissabat – she’s my proudest find. I met a girl while I was selling things at a garage sale in my town. I had a sign saying I was looking for Monster High dolls, and she came up to me and said she had some from her childhood. She showed me photos, and I immediately knew I wanted Elissabat. We added each other on social media, and I told her I wasn’t really interested in the rest of her dolls, but I could help her fix them up and price them fairly. Honestly, I kind of regret that now, because I probably could’ve bought them all for a good price and used them for trades. I started visiting her, and over a few days we cleaned the dolls, did their hair, and became friends. We also did DIY clothes and went thrifting together. One day, I found a shirt with a sardines graphic, and later she asked if I wanted to trade it for one of her dolls. Of course, I chose Elissabat. We were both really happy—her girlfriend had a similar shirt, so they could match, and I got one of my grails. We’re still friends to this day and meet up sometimes to do creative things together.

Boo York Nefera – I got her from the same girl I bought Lagoona from, for 120 zł. It was kind of an impulse buy because she mentioned she was planning to sell her on Vinted and asked me what I thought she was worth. She was actually worth about twice what I offered, but I ended up buying her a week after we negotiated the price, otherwise she would’ve sold her on Vinted.

Operetta and Toralei are both Creeproductions. I bought both of them NIB Operetta for 150 zł, and Toralei for either 120 or 170 zł—I don’t quite remember.

Robecca, Rochelle, and Venus are all Creeproductions. I had been waiting for them since I started collecting—about a year. I was at the drop when they were released, and every website where they were supposed to be sold crashed. It was pretty funny seeing how many people were waiting for them. Robecca turned out really well. Rochelle, I don’t like her face, so I’m trying to find a replacement body and face for her. For Venus, I swapped her head with a 2012 one because the hair texture is better and I like the face much more. I bought all three NIB at retail, paying 450 zł for the set.

Cleo de Nile (Reel Drama) – I bought her at retail for 200 zł. There was also a girl who reserved both Draculaura and Cleo Reel Drama for 250 zł, which was a crazy good price. Unfortunately, she was in the middle of a house renovation and didn’t know where the dolls were. At first, I thought she ghosted me because she realized the dolls were worth more than we agreed on. A few months later, I bought other dolls from her, and it turned out: 1) she’s not a scammer, and 2) she genuinely doesn’t know where they are—but she promised to let me know if she finds them.

With this LEGO set, there’s a funny story. I had wanted it for a really long time, and one day I came across an eBay auction, so I decided to bid on it. In the very last second, I won against another bidder by just 5 euros. It was so funny to me—I can only imagine the look on his face.
