I see my religion as a religion of spirit and consciousness. Can a mere headscarf that covers my hair really send me to hell? I see myself as a soul, not a body. What about others? Is it forbidden for them to see me? That's why I hate men; they don't know how to lower their gaze. I want you to see me as a soul, not as hair and a body. Someone else will come along and quote hadiths. Please try to read books and educate yourself. Some hadiths have been distorted by outsiders to make our religion a religion of conflict with ourselves. The Quran, however, hasn't been distorted, which is why we don't find the hijab mentioned there.
