i really enjoy henry david thoreau and transcendentalism. i feel like if he were born in the present day, he would make a youtube channel, document his ordeals at walden, and be lost to internet obscurity. it would be a channel where you would watch a video and go, "real", and then go back to mindlessly enjoying the modern hedonistic pleasure of your choice. it would be enough to make you think in the moment, but there are so many things to think about and get distracted by that it's hard for a message to get across nowadays. i also really enjoy cosmic horror, gothic novels, the witcher, lotr, and nonfiction that pertains to the medical field. the best of theee best has to go to little house on the prairie. i havent read the series since i was 10, but i yearn for my own little house in the woods.
