KAYOU's Interests

General

I’m a product of modern urbanism: I skate, do street workouts and breakdance, and I love modern art and hanging out on rooftops. I’m passionate about films, videos, and photography, and I’d love to be a PAID director someday, living in a nice L.A.-style mansion, you know, with infinity pools and all the perks. I love traveling, adventures, and discovering new things and sensations. I want to be more curious about the world, so if you know some cool places to travel to, that’s always a great conversation opener.

Music

Into Rap right now. I love old-school hip hop, peace to Biggie, Big L, and Tupac 🕊️—all the way up to more recent artists like A$AP Rocky, Tyler, the Creator, Travis Scott, Kanye, and, for my French peers, Josman, Nekfeu, JeanJass, and Doc Gynéco. I’ve got a chill side too, vibing to country and folk. Neil Young, America, Glen Campbell, and Crosby, Stills & Nash bring me peace. Alex Amen’s also on repeat, he’s bringing folk back to life.

Movies

Too many to name, dude, but here’s a bit of everything: Episode 7 of Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities: The Viewing by Panos Cosmatos. Apocalypse Now by Francis Ford Coppola, saw it for the first time in 2025, and I was awestruck. Took me to another dimension. Lawrence of Arabia by David Lean. Old film, but damn, it’s amazingly shot and directed. Makes me want to be someone, do something meaningful for others, and go on an adventure only possible when you’re young.

Television

Books

Have you read Narcissus and Goldmund by Hermann Hesse? Probably one of the most inspirational books I’ve ever read. I’m also a fan of Albert Camus, especially The Stranger and The Plague. The Ice People by René Barjavel is the book that truly opened my eyes to reading as a kid. As for English books, I really enjoyed Tar Baby by Toni Morrison.

Heroes

Biggie used to motivate me and give me strength when I had none, back when life felt heavier than I could carry. What stuck with me is how he went from negative to positive, proving that change is possible. I’m not going out without a fight.

KAYOU's Blurbs

About me:

Just a guy on the internet… I’m based in Paris, where I do a lot of filming for underground rappers, musicians, and artists alike. I love traveling, so I might come to your city someday. I also direct movies of all kinds of genres, though right now I’m more into comedy. Nintendo DS

Who I'd like to meet:

My dream blunt rotation would include Panos Cosmatos, Gaspar Noé, and an undead David Lynch. If you see this, just know I love your movies ! They’re a real trip, literally. On a more serious note, if you’re chill and cool, I’d love to meet you, whoever you are.
