Benny's Interests

General	I love spending time writing. Philosophy is one of my favorite subjects. When it rains, it's very peaceful and calming. I'm into anime as my book series is an anime driven series. I sometimes fish and I am taking care of some plants outside. Devil Drive: Block Party is an original book series I am currently working on that span 1 to 6 books, including the 7th book which is the bridge book to the video game in the future. This book is in a fictional social media world, tells the story of Destrey Streter, a hip-hop rapper breakdancer social influencer who strives to be on top, he is number one, but remember this eventually leads to demon slaying, don't want to reveal too much, but the origin story first.
Music	I don't have a specific genre I like. In the past I used to listen to a lot of metal and rock music, but they changed overtime, I guess it really depends on the mood, but I'll listen to anything. I like having an open mind and listen to what the universe sends me.
Movies	I love a lot of 80s style movies. Even though I never grew up in the 80s. I love horror, action, comedy sci-fi movies. Scarface, The Warriors, Work in progress...

Books
Heroes	Kynna and Kyrru, Fox Spirits of Duality, Mascots to the Devil Drive Series. They mean the world to me. I created them after a drinking problem I have overcame. They are the manifestation of my experiences throughout my life; they are the symbol that helped me overcome addiction. They continue to help guide me throughout life. They manifest light and dark, the two forces that either separate or join together. They are the balancers in the universe inspired by Japanese folklore and Taoism, the yin and the yang. They sit on my shoulders (not literally) but as loving, caring fox spirits who love to help others, they aren't just for me. They are an unknown folklore to many, but only few know about. Unless you read my stories and find out more about them, but they will stay as mysterious until then. They conceal the radiant amber eyes of knowledge, which is the power within the self.

About me:

Description Hi, I’m Ben. I write and build ideas for an anime-inspired video game book series called Devil Drive. I grew up on video games, but these days I spend more time creating my own worlds and stories than playing. I'll be working and expressing my Devil Drive brand here. I’m a millennial who still gets hit with random waves of nostalgia, which is probably how I ended up here. I like hanging out, seeing what people are into, and sharing my projects when the mood strikes. I’m into dark urban fantasy and sci-fi, and I pull a lot of influence from Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, and Berserk. I still watch anime and keep up with music and games when I can, even if I don’t game like I used to. The goal is to turn my books into a full video game franchise someday, so these indie stories are my first step. If you want to know what’s on my mind, reading my books is a good way to see it or drop me a message and we can communicate. Personality-wise, I’m pretty chill and down to earth. I like to travel when I get the chance, but most days I’m writing. Food wise, give me a good spinach quiche, Mexican dishes, or anything spicy and I’m happy. Description I’m down to meet anyone who likes talking about creative stuff: writing, world-building, games, music, whatever you’re into. I don't consider myself an artist and when I do make enough income, I am going to pay real visual artists. But I hope you like what I'm working towards.] Description This is the main character of the Devil Drive: Block Party series, his name is Destrey Streter, an African American social influencer who strives to be number one in his city of Kystart and he strives to be known throughout the world of Searth. His influencer niche is Hip-hop Rap Breakdancer who likes to push the boundaries of social influencing, not too much, but for him to be able to be seen and be recognized on his planet. He is down to earth and has a laid-back chill personality who gets along with everyone he crosses paths with. He doesn't see himself better than anyone else, especially if he was famous, millions of likes, many subscriber accounts and lots of views won't ever change him or his ego as he is friendly with everyone and hopes everyone succeeds, relatable by most and his dreams are like every social influencer out there who wants to reach the apex of the worlds stage. His dream is to reach the top, to be like the social influencers up in the sky who reached stardom, to turn his city into a landmark that is recognized all over the world as it would make his family, friends, neighbors and community proud of him as he represents their city as it brings prosperity, fortune and a life fit for a king. In this world of social media is the culture, the link that binds everyone together. Through competition, social influencers at the bottom try to outdo each other to climb to the top. In a world of one trillion people, it's hard to stand out but if one manages to succeed, its changes everything. The top social influencers throw a party for them if they go viral, initiating them in the world of the spotlight. A Block Party is not just a street party; it's a city wise party that stretches at all corners of a major city that last for what seems like for an eternity for one day. A party paved through tradition on what social media can create and bring people closer together to create unity and friendship, just like family. When I thought about this character, I thought about someone who would be the spirit of all social influencers who is true to himself and genuine, someone who do anything to protect his family, friends, neighbors and community, what I consider the true ultimate social influencer, that is what I envisioned, of course he has some imperfection, but it's just a concept I based off the character. Description Introducing Jezebel Fyurret, Destrey streter's best friend and love interest. Her social influencer niche is ASMR Artist who is also studying to become a sound engineer. She is the shy type who doesn't like too much attention as she feels safe in her own enclosure, but she does go out with her friends as they mean the world to her. She is also nice and can get jealous at times but eventually gets over it. Jezebel is the type of woman who will protect her friends, and she changes throughout the story, which is something I will leave you to witness as time goes on reading my books, I don't want to reveal too much of my story. Jezebel likes keeping to herself most of the time because of an incident that occurred when she was younger because of social media. Her original personality was the opposite of being shy, but something happened online as when she was on social media, she had responses she didn't like that made her question herself to the point she became a recluse, like she couldn't be the person she was and so she embraced her new personality. In this context I wanted to express that her voice was not excepted as she had a reality check which at first she was scared, but later thanks those who helped her change. She has a crush on Destrey, even though she picked on him in the early days, that is where the connection starts and grows. Jezebel is an African American woman mixed with Hispanic heritage.
