My body was torn apart like a rare relic.

Everyone got their own fragment — some a shoulder, some a look, some a quiet laugh.

My eyes, exuding tears, went around.

Everyone took them in their hands, felt them, looked at them in the light,

He looked for his reflection in them, and then dropped it back.

When everyone left, only wet fragments remained on the ground.

They tried to assemble me, but the pieces did not come together.

I became a creature from someone else's ideas,

A riddle that has no answer.

And now I carry this imperfect unity within me,
