General

I don't know how to fill this without sounding like a hipster. I love cooking, hiking, writing, drawing, music, and foreign cultures. Also history and science. I still like to think of myself as a "gamer", but have not played a "new" game since 2014. Not at all into online gaming. Video games have been a part of over half my life and one of the main reasons I can speak Japanese somewhat proficiently. For very many years, my dream was to become a video game designer.

Music

To this day, I still love dark and heavy metal, especially nu metal, bands from my teenage years like Nine Inch Nails, Linkin Park, Korn, and In Extremo. Since then, I have accrued a gigantic list of favorite musicians from all around the world of different styles and genres. My top favorite songs all come from Brazil, with Japan and Turkey jockeying for top spot, though America's top songs from the end of the 1990s to early 2000s are pretty much the theme songs of my heart. Movies

Favorite movie of all time is the original 1995 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers film for childish nostalgia reasons. Without those biases, my favorite film of all time would be Rio Babilonia by Neville d'Almeida. Within my top 10 list of favorites are Apocalypse Now, Tropic Thunder, the 2002 Spider-Man film, and Godzilla 2000

Television

Favorite cop drama of all time is In The Heat Of The Night. The series that was filmed in Covington, Georgia, not the movie that's the only thing most people apparently seem to be aware of. That aside, I am a huge fan of classic animated sitcoms and anime (especially the ones that aired on Toonami and made before roughly 2010).

Books

The Animorphs and Goosebumps books, Series Of Unfortunate Events up to the last book (which I quit reading). That's it as far as fiction goes. 99% of what I read is non-fiction. I especially love deep-dives into history, politics, and economics. Also cookbooks.

Heroes

Nadya Tolokonnikova is my favorite person in the world, followed by Maria Alyokhina and Pyotr Verzilov. Then probably followed by Chelsea Manning. As far as celebrities and creators go, in no particular order or category... Go Nagai, Yoshiyuki Tomino, Yasuhiro Imagawa, Jonathan Davis, Serj Tankian, Bruce Campbell, and Tom Morello
