First things first: The Smiths, Radiohead :) I listen to music in English, French, and Russian, but nothing hits like my own language. Turkish rock will always have my heart—Şebnem Ferah and Hayko Cepkin lead the way (especially when it comes to rock). Also high on my list: Adamlar, Mor ve Ötesi, maNga, and a few others I can’t live without. My all-time favorite albums? Tanışma Bitti, Dünya Yalan Söylüyor, Kelimeler Yetse—they’re basically my top three. On the more emotional & philosophical side, Bir Pesimistin Gözyaşları and Hayalet Islığı are unmatched (Hayalet Islığı might just be one of the best storytelling albums in the world, fight me). From beyond Turkey: Pink Floyd, Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine, Lush, and I’d add The Cure, Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, and Mazzy Star to the list—because dreamy noise and bittersweet melancholy never get old. |

Sitcom addict ✨ Can’t do horror (my nerves would file a complaint), but a good thriller once in a while? Yes, please. Doctor Who, Sherlock... And, plot twist: Gilmore Girls is my forever comfort show. |
Books |
Didn’t read much before high school (yep, I was a STEM kid), but in my early teens my dad handed me Anna Karenina. A few days later, I had devoured it—page after page. That was the start of my little love affair with philosophy and the classics. Anna Karenina still holds the top spot in my heart, followed closely by The Picture of Dorian Gray, Hayy ibn Yaqzan (by Ibn Sina), Chocolat (by Joanne Harris), and Refet (by Fatma Aliye). It’s a bit of a mixed shelf, but honestly? I read almost anything. As for poetry—Nazım Hikmet and Orhan Veli will always be my favorite voices |

About me:
Hey there! I make my own music, write books, doodle, design, produce, and—of course—consume way too much art for one person. Based in Istanbul, Turkey. I collect… things. LPs, cassettes, CDs, books—lots of them—and some other little treasures I can’t let go of. I’m a barista by day, creator & consumer by night. <3 Ex-STEM nerd turned literature lover, and officially “the mad one” in the house."
