The voices are warm, the lyrics are meaningful, even the melody touches you from the inside out. There was no affectation or excessive noise. The music filled the place without disturbing you. You felt the actors giving from their heart, and every scene had meaning. Even if the movie was simple, it would make you think, laugh, or even cry. Cinema back then relied on feeling more than show, and every movie had a flavor, unlike most movies today, which are all copies of each other. |
