Get distracted by skies and forgotten corners of rooms. I like when time slows down and nothing makes sense but it feels right anyway. Vanish for days then come back with three movie opinions.

Music

Mitski writes the kind of sadness i never knew how to say. I keep falling for voices that sound like faded film and cracked windows. Anddd yeule feels like floating through static. I like music that doesn’t shout, like it knows too much but won’t tell anyone. Hidden gems i cling to: wave to earth, cults, asian glow, maria domark, bôa. They hum like secrets. They stay.

Movies

Films that sit with me long after they’re over. Lilja 4-Ever, They Shoot Horses, Don’t They, The Virgin Suicides, Jane Eyre, Oslo, August 31st. All stories that feel like staring too long at something you’re not supposed to touch.

Television

Not really into TV, but these stayed. Twin Peaks, Over the Garden Wall, The Haunting of Hill House, and The Queen’s Gambit.

Books

I like books that feel like secrets passed under the table. Lanny feels like the woods are watching. Also On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous feels like saying “i love you” with your hands shaking.

Heroes

Mine aren’t the ones who save the world. Sometimes my heroes are people in books. Sometimes they’re people i’ve been.
