Hello world! My name is Dante (FORMERLY CYPRESS) . Welcome to my little hiding spot in the first circle of hell (because I do not count with the same luck as the original Dante). This is where I dump my horrifying thoughts and wait for the fiery pits to consume them. Well, actually, I don’t have a lot of horrifying things to tell; mostly just unnecessary junk I need to pour somewhere. Since this section is called “About me”: I am a Literature student in uni, translation: I’m extremely gay (because no straight modern man would ever pick up a book that isn’t about being your own boss). One of my biggest obsessions in life, if not the biggest, is Oscar Wilde. I am totally crazy about him and his work, and have read absolutely everything he’s ever written. If I could bring someone back from death it would definitely be him and I would do anything to be his new Bosie.. I also take big interest in classical authors like Homer, Virgil, Euripides, Sappho, etc. And Dante Alighieri because I am self centered like that. As you can tell, I really enjoy literature that is religious, mythological, critic of religion, or just contains a lot of imagery of it. I am really into researching religions and myth; I’m nowhere near an intellectual on it, just a hobby that hopefully one day I can be more cultivated in. Another one of my interests is art as in paintings, sculptures, drawings, etc; visual art in general. I like art that defies morals, that is grotesque and uncomfortable. “No artist has ethical sympathies. An ethical sympathy in an artist is an un-pardonable mannerism of style. No artist is ever morbid. The artist can express everything.” I do draw and write, I might post it in here every now and then, but do not expect anything professional, I’m in the process of learning (even though I’ve done it all my life) I like all kinds of music (I mean literally all) but my favorite solo artist is Bjork and my favorite band is Jack off Jill. Also very into pop culture and chronically online (like everyone else here) I am Borderline, depressed, and a bit crazy. It might seem out of nowhere but where I’m getting at is, that a lot of what I will post here will be about it or directly related. Like I said, I need somewhere to burn all my junk in; just a warning in case those topics are sensitive to your eyes and soul. I’m a person who talks a lot, has a lot of obsessive behaviors, varying moods, and questions. But I do not bite and I’m just looking for connection, for fun, and to pass the time. Always always open to conversation, and I tend to like all people in general. I hope you stand by, see you soon!
