General

I love film and I think I either want to be a filmmaker or some type of writer (like either screenplays or novels). My hobbies kind of change around cause I tend to fixate on things for a few months at a time. That said, I like language learning and I know some Japanese (like I'd probably pass the N5 but I'm a little rusty at it so I wouldn't do as well now as I would have six months ago). I also know some very basic Dutch. 

Like I mentioned before, I've been getting into writing. I enjoy both writing and reading/watching very personal and grounded stories and I hope to complete a novel within the next few years or so just to try it regardless of whether it's very good or not.

Music

I think shoegaze is very cool, my favourite band is probably Slowdive and I also sometimes listen to My Bloody Valentine (though I know those are like the obvious shoegaze artists and I've been meaning to discover some more niche artists in the genre). Otherwise I like Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Tame Impala, Mazzy Star, Mitski and Boygenius/Phoebe Bridgers. 

Movies

I love movies very much, they're easily my favourite sort of art. My four favourites are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the entire Before trilogy but I like Sunrise the most (though barely I still adore Sunset and Midnight), Sing Street and Her. Some others I like are Dead Poets Society, The Truman Show, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Cornetto Trilogy (Hot Fuzz is probably my favourite) and Whiplash.

I think film is special to me because it sort of encapsulates many different kinds of art (cinematography, acting, music, writing, etc.), and in doing so I think it's so effective at portraying human experiences. I watch movies pretty often and I've recently gotten back into using physical media (DVDs) over streaming again which has been really fun.

Television

I like TV almost as much as I like movies. Guess I'm basic for this pick but my favourite is easily Breaking Bad, I just love everything about it. I also am a fan of Arcane, Invincible, Better Call Saul, Dexter, Death Note, Adolescence, Squid Game, Evangelion, You and The End of the F***ing World. 

In terms of my watchlist, I've been meaning to watch The Walking Dead, and I also want to watch House MD, Hannibal, Brooklyn Nine Nine, The Office, Bojack Horseman, Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Twin Peaks.

Books

I honestly don't read all too much but I've been trying to do more of it recently. I recently read No Longer Human and thought it was great, and at the moment I'm reading Stoner. Some others that I've read and enjoyed are Animal Farm, 1984, Boy Swallows Universe, The Green Mile and the Hunger Games series (have not yet read SOTR though).

Heroes

I think it's a bit silly to idolise any real person so I choose Spider-Man (I love the Raimi Trilogy).
