I'm a Direct Support ProfessionalΒ
Direct Support Professionals are similar to caregivers, except caregivers take care of all the needs of the clients and Direct Support Professionals help the clients learn how to do things on their own, and they also help them become integrated into the community. Also, caregivers usually take care of people that are dying, but Direct Support Professionals help clients with mental illnesses, intellectual disabilities or physical disabilities and they're not dying.
