About me:

RK2 aka RK II is a professional musical artist from Tennessee that currently resides in Palm Desert, California. Born to a teenage mother and an absent/incarcerated father. Growing up with his grandparents and his mother, little RK2 spent a lot of time exploring and getting lost in music from various genres in his mother and step-father's record store in Athens, TN. Both of his grandfathers are also musicians. RK2 evolved into a genre-bending alternative Hip-hop artist, effortlessly infusing his music with Rap, Rock, and R&B elements. RK2's talent and creativity were cultivated in the recording studio (Lakeside Studios in Knoxville, TN) by Grammy Nominated - Dove Award Winner Travis Wyrick, who took him under his wings, mentoring RK2 and helping him to hone his craft. We find Travis Wyrick's producer fingerprints/ production signature on almost every project that RK2 released including: *RK2 aka RK II REL8, 2021 *RK2 aka RK II TENNECALI, 2021 *RK2 aka RK II U Can't Stop Me, 2020 *RK II Anticipation EP, 2016 *RK II Post Christian Society EP vol 1, 2014 In 2016, RK2 was nominated for EP of the year - titled Anticipation and Music Video of the Year - titled Never Say Never featuring Andrea Hampton at the Independent Music Awards in New York.
