About me:

I’m Nikolas — guitarist, vocalist, and engineering student with a brain permanently tuned to distortion. Music is the main thing in my life, especially the extreme side of metal. I write and play across a bunch of projects, each with its own flavor of chaos: Subdermal Maggot Colony, Gutleak, Mordum, BC, Fleshquake, Logick, Echos of Elysium, and Serpents Crown the Savior. Most of what I do revolves around guitar and vocals, building riffs that are heavy, ugly, and atmospheric depending on the project. Some of my bands lean into slam and gore, others drift into black metal or experimental territory. Either way, it’s all about pushing sound as far as it can go. Outside of music I’m an engineering student, so I tend to approach songs like systems — tone, structure, recording, and layering all matter. I like thinking about how sound actually behaves and building tracks piece by piece until the whole thing hits like a machine. If it’s heavy, strange, atmospheric, or brutally loud, I’m probably into it.
