About me:
hello, and welcome to my profile. i'm happy you found your way to my little corner on this website! i'm josie, a 24-year-old girl living on the swedish west coast together with my boyfriend and our two cats + dog. during the day i work as a social worker, more specifically with adults that need help regarding substance abuse, homelessness and/or domestic violence. i found my way to the internet back in 2008, when i was seven years old. we got our first family computer and i had found out about a horse forum when reading some of my horse magazines (yes, i was and still am an avid horse girl!!). i asked my mom if i could make an account and she even helped me out. on that forum, a whole new world opened up for me – i found new friends whom i shared common interests with, and even developed some new interests that i still enjoy to this day. it was an amazing exprience to make friends without feeling judged or restricted by how i looked or acted, instead i felt listened to. i spent most of my adolescence on that site and found other forums. eventually, the forums got more and more commercialized or inactive as social media started to take over, so i left. i miss being active on forums though, which is how i found my way to this site. social media has stifled my creativity and i have grown more self-conscious. i hope spacehey will help me feel a little less lonely, and feel a bit more inspired to express my creativity without the fear of being judged.
