General

I like to run mainly because some time around autumn of 2010 I got insanely good at it. That's kinda crazy, right? Like, I sucked as an athlete and always thought I'd be just a regular garden-variety geek. Like most people I also like to travel. I think I'll go to Sweden next time there's a big paycheck. Vietnam was probably the coolest place I've been to. That's the one I want to go back to the most.

Music

Ugh, god, I know it's basic, but I really am an "anything except country" type of dude. It's just so bleh at this point. Not that I think it can't be good, but the alternative country music really needs to find a better way of getting to me. I organize my spotify playlists into five different categories. There's morning songs, day songs, night songs, the gym playlist, and then just songs for when I'm feeling out of it. I feel like there's a lot of the human emotional spectrum or whatever that gets covered by those five lists.

Movies

I am glad, so glad that we're done with the marvel superhero craze. So many comic book movies that came out from 2010-2020, I absolutely can't stand. So I'm always into movies that are weird or feel different than just simple little joy rides. I always get excited when I see a Miramax and A24 logos because I at least know that with the film, there's somebody TRYING to do something different. If I'd have to say what some of my faves are, it's like Uncut Gems, Spring Breakers, and Scott Pilgrim VS. The World.

Television

God I actually CANNOT keep up with a TV show to save the life of me. Most of the time I just wait for the video essays to come out and then watch it myself after the series is finished. So really I'm only into pro-wrestling and sports because it's so easy to follow. I should get better at watching stuff, but TV is kinda sinister you know? It tries to tell an incomplete story, and wants to stretch things out as long as possible so it can cram as many ads onto the screen as it can. I think art suffers a lot that way.

Books

Yes I've read Infiinte Jest! Hell I even read 1Q84! I'll read just about anything. I actually feel like most american literature sucked until like the 1900s. So it stand to reason that my favorite books are all stupid shit like Dune, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, and Snow Crash. I'm not above some college level *thought provoking* type stuff. Most of the books my teachers assigned me during that period were actually really dope. I like to think I understood most of theory stuff they had me read, but if you asked me to explain it, I'd probably need their help XD.

Heroes

I actually really gotta give a shoutout to my parents. I don't think I made it easy for them, but they handled things as best they could. There's a lot of teachers I could say too. One even legit did a whole personality adjustment on me. It was just crazy.
