General

I love going to a lot of shows, whether it be small local shows or big music festivals. It is truly a magical thing to see a band on stage producing what they feel from their souls through a melody. That's also why punk rock is my favorite music genre, because you can tell that they are enjoying being their authentic selves, and they don't give a fuck who hates them! Being at a punk show is when I feel as though I most belong, (for the most part), and it's fun dancing with everyone. It's lovely and healing to be in an environment with so many other different people who aren't afraid to be weird and themselves, who don't care about the main public opinion. I like crafting in various different ways. It could go from drawing, to writing, to singing, etc. I particularly like drawing character designs. I also enjoy writing about things like feminism, and the horrible greed of humanity. I love video games a lot. When I was a kid I had an Xbox360 and I would play stuff like Minecraft, Borderlands 2, and Life is Strange, as well as other games from back then that have a special, nostalgic place in my heart. Surprisingly though, as I grew older, I started gravitating towards Nintendo games, but I still enjoy other games. I started really enjoying games like Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, etc. However, the games that I enjoy the absolute most are games that can stand out in a way, especially when the game has a cover more on the innocent side. Night in the Woods has a compelling plot as well as relatable characters. Undertale holds so much talent it's mind boggling, as it was all created mostly by one person, Toby Fox. Although he had assistants with art, he created all of the music needed for the game ALL BY HIMSELF. His music has so much character for something that was created by one person.

Music

I love a lot of different types of music but my favorite is punk rock. I've been enjoying riot grrrl music and The Garden, as well as The Garden's side pieces. The Garden is really interesting because they combine experimental music with some punk lyrics in their songs; they recently toured with the band T.S.O.L and it pissed off all the oldhead punks cuz it didn't sound the way they wanted it to. However it still doesn't change the fact that The Garden is punk, because the sound of their melodies isn't the only thing that matters. It is amazing to see them unapologetically be themselves. !!!!WARNING!!!! In order to talk about the riot grrrl genre, this segment will include sensitive topics, which is heavy sexism and potentially SA. Even though punk was built off of the idea of revolution, changing the unfair ways the system treats their people, back in the old days, men were still dominating the genre, and excluding women from going to shows by doing all the same things men do to take advantage of them. Riot grrrl was striving to change all of that.

Studio Ghibli movies captivated me as a child, and I've watched pretty much all of them.
