Gregory Savacool's Interests

Evil Angel Breaking Benjamin

General

Videogames - Super into survival horror, MMOs(definitely MMORPGs), TCGs, some shooters, AAA RPGs, some point and clicks, old school platforms, some simulators and a few indie games here and there.

Music - Alternative, rock, hard rock, rock, metal, some rap, some pop.

Movies - Horror, Suspense, Sci-fi, Action.

Knives - I never thought I'd be fascinated with sharp things, but it's just something I picked up 4-5 years ago. Love Spyderco, love Benchmade, love civivi... Love finding a nice cheap, sharp knife lol.

Watches - It's an interest, though an expensive one lol.. so I don't have many, but I do like seeing the latest mechanical watch here are there. A bit of a Seiko and citizen fan.

Backpacking - Admittedly lately this has been more out of necessity, however I have enjoyed hiking as well in the past and I always enjoy nature (nature is nice, it never asks me for anything lol) and seeing random animals here and there.

Music

Most Significant Artists:

Linkin Park - Probably the first real band I loved back when I was an early teenager and used to be my favorite band. Still listen to them till this day and have always enjoyed everything they produced. Hybrid theory is probably my second favorite album of all time. RIP Chester.

Breaking Benjamin - Was probably one of the next bands I started listening to after LP and turned out to be my long-term favorite band of all time. Every song they made (really Burnley made) has just been gold to me and phobia has to be my favorite album of all time.

Owl City - I remember being on myspace and my friend showing telling me about fireflies.. very nostalgic lol. I have lived what Adam makes, just because it's so different from everything out there and it's refreshing to hear such recharging melodies. Owl city has gotten me through a lot of hard times in my life and will continue to, I'm sure.

Disturbed - Disturbed came to me while I went through a heavy metal phase in my mid-late teens, and while I don't listen to them that often anymore, they are notable to me since I went to see them live at mayhem fest in the early 2010s and they were my favorite band at the time.

Five Finger Death Punch - Last of my mentions is FFDP, and I mention them because I recall going to mayhem fest and seeing them on a side stage while I was there for Disturbed... Somehow I've still listened to them to this day, and yet all the metals band I used to listen to have all fallen away (Disturbed, lamb of god, children of bodom, Metallica, ect). They just make very very good music, and it shows.

Other Artists Include:

Killswitch Engage, Shinedown, The Postal Service, Twenty One Pilots, My Chemical Romance, Mudvayne, Matchbox Twenty, Creed, The Killers, Panic! At The Disco, Maroon 5, Coldplay, Train, Snow Patrol, Imagine Dragons, The Script, Bullet for My Valentine, Thousand Foot Krutch, lifehouse, Crossfade, Switchfoot, Fun, Weird Al, The Fray, Flyleaf, Rob Zombie, Godsmack, Skillet, Three Days Grace, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Papa Roach, Eminem, Trapt, OneRepublic, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fall Out Boy, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Avenged Sevenfold, All That Remains, System of a Down, AC/DC, John Mayer, Rise Against, Jimmy Eat World, Bon Jovi, Gorillaz, The White Stripes, Atreyu, MGMT, Pink, journey, Rod Stewart, Death Cab for Cutie, all time low, Paramore, one direction, Fort Minor, Architects, firefight

Movies

Most Significant Movies:

Avatar - Probably my favorite movie of all time. Back when I watched it in 2007 I couldn't really think of anything like it, and the world was just amazing it made me want to visit lol. A shame the second one took so long to come out, but it's also worth a watch and was really good. James also makes a lot of great things.

The Matrix - I recall seeing this movie as a kid and I think it was the first movie that really made me think. After that, the series always held a place in my top movies and the first one is one of my favorite movies of all times. I also love the second and third movies.

Pulp Fiction - Just a lot of classic lines and I love what Quentin makes as well... Just the most outrageous and somewhat relatable movies lol. Also just a very notable film I always enjoyed watching with my grandfather in the late 2000s.

Other Movies Include:

Resident Evil (1, 2), Alien (1, 2, 3), Halloween, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Friday The 13th, The Shining (Doctor Sleep), Saw (1, 2), Interstellar, Tenet, Inception, Arrival, Ghost Busters (1, 2), Terminator (1, 2, 3), Star Trek (2009, Into Darkness, Beyond), Minority Report, Highlander (1, 2, 3), Waterworld, The Postman, 3000 Miles to Graceland, Gone in 60 Seconds, The Lord of War, The National Treasure (1, 2), Face\Off, Con Air, The Rock, The Wolf of Wallstreet, The Departed, Flight, The Book of Eli, Man on Fire, Training Day, Batman (Begins, Dark Knight, Dark Knight Rises), Scary Movie (1, 2 3), Shaun of The Dead and many more.

Television

Most Significant Shows:

Yu-Gi-Oh - I've seen all the series up to and including Brains. Probably the most significant show of my life, as it was and has been a big part of me and my hobbies over the years. RIP Takahashi.

Dragonball - Probably the second most impactful show of my life. It was what brought anime over to the west and introduced me to it. I've seen up to and including super (Z was an especial favorite, as it was what I watched as a kid). RIP Toriyama.

Other Anime Include:

Demon Slayer, Inuyasha, Cowboy Bebop, Attack on Titan, Overlord, Black Clover, My Hero Academia, Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These, JUJUTSU KAISEN, The Rising of the Shield Hero and many more.

Other Shows Include:

Star Trek (Next Gen, Voyager, Enterprise), Stargate (SG1, Atlantis), Battle Star Galactica (2004), Doctor Who, Firefly, Sliders, Futurama, Samurai Jack, The Office and many more.

Books

Most Significant Games:

Runescape - I think the should be clear lol. Been playing since 2005 and I currently play OSRS on and off. I'm currently off, but I would like to sometime soon get back to playing my GIM and max my main.

EverQuest 2 - While I don't play anymore, when I was a teenager till my mid twenties I had a blast playing from Rise of Kunark till Chains of Eternity. Looking forward to what they're cooking up for EverQuest 3 though!

Yu-Gi-Oh - While I want to play the paper TCG, it's just a bit pricey for me now, but I am currently active on Master Duel and having a blast. Been with the game since I was like 12 and it was a beat down game (now a much more complex game lol). Again, RIP Takahashi.

Mass Effect - My favorite AAA game series of all time. No game has topped it thus far, and I love going back to it every 5 years or so and replaying it after I forget most of it.

Other Games Include:

Resident Evil (Almost all), Silent Hill (1, 2, 3, 4), Dead space (1, 2), Alien Isolation, Tormented Souls, Witcher (2,3), Dark Souls (1,3), Red Dead Redemption 2, Fallout (3, New Vegas, 4), Elder Scrolls (Oblivion, Skyrim), Doom (2016, Eternal), Halo (1, 2, 3), Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Crash N Sane Trilogy, Stardew Valley, Dead by Daylight, Sea of Thieves and many more.

About me:

Well, I'm not sure I have much to say about myself, but I'll give it a shot. I'm a 32 year old guy who lives in South Florida (was born here), though I have lived in and visited other states for a little while here and there; I lived in Georgia for a few years, Arizona for a year (working at the Grand canyon was a trip) and visited Colorado and many other states in the South.

Currently the past year I've been backpacking and living out of a tarp. It's been a bit freeing being almost like a tech nomad... Maybe an unusual lifestyle, but probably not so much nowadays with all the YouTubers and car campers all around almost popularizing it in a way. I have also Twitch streamed in the past (I streamed horror and survival horror games) for a year and plan on picking that back up and doing it on the go, which I feel will be a very interesting twist from what most people are doing.

As far as past work, I've done so many things it's hard for me to keep track anymore in my life lol. First job was at my grandfather's Bike Shop in Florida, then after he died and I moved out my second job was photo in Walgreens also in Florida, then I worked at PPG paint shop for about year and a half while I lived in Georgia, after that I took a job at the Grand Canyon AZ general store to switch things up in my life and try something different (starting as cashier, then moving to camping), then to hop parks I decided to take a janitorial job in the Everglades in Florida, after that I tried pursuing a career in electrical moving to Orlando but it didn't work out. I have also tried streaming and content creation here and there throughout my life like I talked about before, but never struck gold with it; though I may pick up videogame streaming again at some point in the near future.

A couple of last tidbits I suppose are things I'm looking forward too. Ashes of creation seems like an extremely good game coming and I'm planning to give that game a shot when it comes out as a bard, EverQuest 3 that is coming at some point and Brighter Shores from my favorite indie type developers ever. Also I suppose if the circumstances present themselves, maybe I'll pick up my acoustic guitar and play a little... I'm not great by any means lol, but I know enough how to tune the thing and I can make something of a guitar tab.
