About me:

I’m seventeen, almost grown, Counting down days, but still alone. I hear the sharp sound of skateboard wheels, But no one knows how deep it feels. Friends around, yet I don’t quite fit, Conversations end, and I’m left with it. The silence between, the love I miss, Every spark gone before a kiss. I drown in songs about ghosts and blood, Sing of rooms too empty, hearts in flood. And when it rains, I think of July, Of broken promises, nights that made me cry. The screen pulls me in, a world of light, A place where I’m something, where I feel right. I wish I was like that fox, running free, But even in dreams, it’s still just me. I’m scared of tomorrow, scared of the fall, Of waking up to nothing at all. Eighteen’s coming fast, it’s just a breath away, But I’m still that lost boy, afraid to stay.
