idk if people will read this but this is mostly my favorite songs/music video thoughts (sorry if it is all over the place lol): KNIFES OUT-RADIOHEAD= This song is genius. I mostly interpreted the music video as someone dealing with the trauma of losing their loved one. The music video starts with a room (probably a hospital room) filled with random photos and drawings, I believed that the photos and drawings represents memories, inside jokes, etc.. I always thought this lyric, "He's not coming back", means that he will never be the same after this trauma. In the vid, it shows happy imagery of him and his wife, who is dying, but later in the vid it changes to them fighting. I think this is the husband trying to altar his memories to lessen the pain of losing his wife. ALSO, it shows him, but the head is replaced with a heart, putting a photo of the wife inside his head heart. After that when the wife tries to get close to him, he pushes away. He doesn't want to get attached to her knowing that she will die soon. This leads him to focusing on himself ,but while doing so he is neglecting his and the wife's child. (he might have also resented the child because he looks like his mom) After this we see the guy's feet in microwaves. It sounds supper goofy, BUT i think this shows him having cold feat and he is unsure whether or not he made the right decision (ignoring all the good moments he had with his wife, resenting her and their kids etc..) Later it shows him with turkey feet. Again this is goofy and is even more hilarious out of context, but I think it represents guilt about him trying to forget all of this good memories. In the end it shows a skeleton playing guitar (no comments other than that's so tuff) and the husband as a rat. I think it symbolizes him trying to run away from his feelings and responsibilities since the lyric was also "catch the mouse". It also shows in the background, that the tv keeps replaying the same clip of someone recording the street while jaywalking ig. I think this shows that he is trap in uncertainty. I know that people say this song is about someone leaving their family and cannibalism (I was on track with this but never saw the cannibalism for some reason) but I still think it is fun to draw your own conclusions. 3/8/26 Sail the moon-also radiohead-(i love rh sm) I like to think this song is similar to the saying "you make plans and god laughs" because the lyrics for the first verse were "I spoke too soon And how much did it cost? I was dropped from moonbeams And sailed on shooting stars". I believe that this person had dreams but never reached it and settle on "sailing shooting stars" (they only kept dreaming). There could be a lot of reasons why they couldn't reach the goal, it could have been because the circumstances they were in, maybe they died trying to reach it ("how much did it cost, I was dropped from moonbeams"), they just gave up, they're unsure, or (my personal favorite) they procrastinate. The reason why the "procrastinate" theory was my favorite is because I relate to that lol. Just waiting for something to happen that never will, but the world doesn't wait for you. This could also just tie in with the "died while trying" theory. BUTTTT I think the "they gave up" theory makes more sense because in the second verse they talk about some else. They talk about this person highly, thinking the great things they might do in the future, like "Be president But know right from wrong Or in the flood You'll build an Ark". Later in the third verse it just says how they (the person that they think will do good) will sail them all to the moon, "And sail us to the moon Sail us to the moon Sail us to the moon Sail us to the moon". I think the person gave up "sailing the moon" (achieving their dreams) because there is already someone that excels that dream. It's tiring seeing someone doing everything a billion times better than you, something that YOU should be great at, it's your dream. The person gave up their dream because what's the point, nobody is going to miss you because they got that one person. yea that's pretty much what i think the song is about, thank you if you read this brain dumped lol i love this song, would sell a kid ( KID A MENTIONED) to hear this live <3. ill prob update in the next 10 years see ya then
