i don't have an athletic bone in my body and grew up with more books than friends, so i think that sets the stage for me overall. i've been writing for the better part of a decade now; the earlier parts of that decade had significantly less skillful writing, sure, but i've improved. i've also been a pianist for just over a decade, and a drummer for the last five or so years. i'm a chronic worldbuilder with quite a few active projects, and i DM an overlarge d&d campaign for my friends. i don't like politics in the way that every other r/atheist likes politics; i mostly complain about injustice and try to spread awareness.

Music

i have too many bands i enjoy to really list them off here in a succinct manner, but i am a punk first and foremost, so naturally i am practically mandated to wax poetic about some of my favorite punk bands. x-ray specs, bikini kill and the like paved the way in the 90s for modern punk to become what it is now; i'm a massive fan of the muslims and dog park dissidents in particular. i recently (read: finally) got into modern rap/hip-hop after listening exclusively to nwa, biggie, and tupac for a while; some of my favorites include tyler, the creator, amine, kendrick and anderson .paak. i like old-school rock bands (think ac/dc, led zeppelin, the like) cuz of my dad, not to mention i can never complain if you play nirvana. i have yet to find a genre in which i haven't found at least one song i love; i used to fall asleep to metal, and i hated country until i listened to before he cheats (ofc). currently obsessed with BROCKHAMPTON.

Movies

f&f // tasm // 80s-90s movies // edgar wright // jordan peele

basically exactly what i said above. in case you're curious, yes, it's because i adore andrew garfield, and my top 3 f&f movies are the og, tokyo drift, and 2 fast in that order. i will die by jordan peele movies (nope is my favorite solely because the cast is SO engaging to watch, love u keke palmer love u daniel kaluuya), and every edgar wright film i've seen has been absolutely stellar (baby driver<3). for 80s-90s movies, my list is limited to dps, heathers, and some lovely gay media (shoutout but i'm a cheerleader). my all time fav live-action film has to be ender's game. as for animated film, itsv/atsv are obviously setting new standards for the industry all by themselves, but my all-time favorite animated movie is the prince of egypt. big hero 6 closely follows, and disney's robin hood rounds out my top 3.

Television

i struggle to actually watch long-form media, but when i do, i tend to get REALLY into it. i absolutely loved yellowjackets and eagerly await the next season, i will talk to you for hours about it if you are willing to sit and listen. for live-action western series, i otherwise mostly watch basic stuff, ie gilmore girls, stranger things (boycott!), derry girls, b99, and the such. i truly adore everything about arcane and am VERY hyped for s2, and i'm making my excruciatingly slow way through the million-odd anime i have on my list. i love nge (clearly), deathnote, haikyuu!!, and cowboy bebop. i also love serial experiments lain, and i'm currently making my way through sousou no frieren, after which the plan is to watch dunmeshi.

all of my major hyperfixations (barring harry potter bc i hate jk rowling) are listed above. i'm currently trying to read both orv and name of the wind, and i need to pick back up on red rising. i've truly read SO much fiction, i'd be more than happy to talk about it with you. c:

above are the games i can most often be caught playing these days, though i do have a few others in my repertoire. i haven't played (or at least finished) a lot of games, but i have consumed plenty via playthroughs by my fav streamers. i could truly go on and on about how much i adore hades and celeste, from game design, to music, to art. they're tied for my all-time favorites, and have been for multiple years now. i want bg3 so bad i need it i want it to be injected into my veins if need be idc i NEED it i froth at the mouth for that game i want it so so badly i n
