i love watching the same movies over and over and over, i find cooking and baking quite relaxing honestly. and i love walking, like, i can be with my friends having the time of our lives and its just us walking lmao. i would LOVE to start hiking, camping and backpacking but my country isn't really safe soooo....

i could honestly go on a 7 hour long rant about Stand by Me (1986) directed by Rob Reiner, its such a raw and perfect embodiment of what it feels like to slowly lose your innocence and those childhood friendships that you will forever cherish. this movie is my comfort movie and i cant help but cry every time i watch it, its the perfect embodiment to "art imitates life", Chris Chambers died too young and so did River Phoenix (his actor), Gordie Lachance became a writer and Wil Wheaton did too, Teddy Duchamp struggled with his past and Corey Feldman struggled like crazy to fight inner battles with himself, Vern Tessio had an easier way and so did Jerry O'Connel. this movie makes me extremely nostalgic for something i never even lived. River was only 15 when he played Chris, his performance was so raw and emotional that it didnt even feel like he was acting. the line "i wish i could go someplace where nobody knows me" wasnt just Chris, it was River. he broke down for real, tired of so much judgment that came along with his fame. he later said "it was hard because i was crying as myself, not as Chris". anyway i dont wanna make this too long so i'll stop it right here and go on listing my other favourite movies. literally any book by Tolkien is immediately a materpiece, im currently reading The Silmarillion! i LOVE classics like George Orwell, Albert Camus and Dostoevsky, and my favorite by each one of them are Animal Farm, 1984, The Stranger, White Nights and The Brothers Karamazov! but i also like modern literature!! i really like Solitaire and Radio Silence by Alice Oseman.
