General

Doing my nails is my therapy; it’s like a peaceful walk in the woods during spring. Whenever I’m going through a tough time with my boyfriend, stressing over college, or feeling restless with nothing to clean, I turn to my nails. Even when I’m missing my cat or upset with my sister for taking something without asking, doing my nails calms me. I feel the same way about cleaning and keeping my space tidy. My bed has to be perfectly made, with no crumbs or dust in sight. I vacuum my room at least three times a week and change my sheets every week. Nothing stays on the floor, and showers are a must, both morning and night. My OCD makes me a natural perfectionist. My makeup has to be flawless, my hair frizz-free, my nails done, and I always wear perfume. My clothes have to match perfectly. This routine gives me a sense of control and calm in my life.
