helen °~☆'s Interests

General

i'm interested in arts. any sort of arts, really, though writing will always hold my heart. painting and sketching is also a passion of mine, though i'm pretty sure that it will remain a hobby.

i like crafts, such as knitting and crocheting, though i used to weave at some point. i might pick it up again, though.

i like books (how surprising, huh), and i think i'd build a fort entirely out of books if i had the strenght.

i'm on a search for any sort of deity. don't know what that says about me.

Music

anything which speaks to my soul.

varying from music which was censored during communist times to the newest hit of that one mainstream pop singer.

also, usually i find four or more songs which i really like and listen to them non-stop until i get bored of them. don't know why this happens.

Movies

as with music, anything which speaks to my soul. or anything that gets stuck in my brain long enough for my neurons to wrap themselves around the movie and turn it into part of who i am.

notable movies which turned into pillars of my personality include, but are not limited to:

  • conclave (2024), by edward berger
  • the lord of the rings trilogy (2001-2003), by peter jackson
  • maria, mirabela (1981), by ion popescu-gopo [note: this is a communist movie for children. despite its awful origins, it's still one of my comfort movies)

Television

i don't really watch tv. or series for that matter.

... though there is good omens. hate neil gaiman though, fuck that monster.

Books

too many to list. i usually read whatever falls into my hand, though nowadays, with school, i have too many assigned books, and i can't really read for myself.

notable books which shaped me:

  • the summer my mother had green eyes, by tatiana țîbuleac
  • the castle, by franz kafka
  • 1984, by george orwell
  • le petit prince, by antoine de saint-exupéry

Heroes

i don't know. there aren't any people i'd consider my heroes. there is only the blorbos inside my head.
